Apart from classes, I took the day "off" to rest, meditate, offer, and pray. I'm admittedly a bit of a workaholic and so I often find myself getting caught up in the busyness of everything (even my own practice) rather easily. It was really quite nice to just have some time to myself to lounge, read, and enjoy the company of the spirits. The whole atmosphere of it all was so open and caring—even the offerings of candle light seemed to fuel me as much as it did them as they shared its replenishing energy with me.
Speaking of reading, I'm currently going through Michael Howard's Modern Wicca: A History from Gerald Gardner to the Present. So far this is definitely shaping up to be one of those great books I would recommend to anyone. I've been eyeing it for a while on my Amazon wishlist as a comprehensive history of modern witchcraft but never took the bait and bought it until I visited the Occult Shop yesterday and found it for a (surprisingly) good price.
